Little Bug Paints a Pumpkin

Sigue leyendo para la version en español!
Festivals are so much more enjoyable with a little bug or little bugs, but I am always at odds as to HOW to go about celebrating as I am not always comfortable
(i.e. scary, spooky stuff and way too much candy!) This year we carved a pumpkin (well, that was mostly me!), went Trick or Treating (we have candy to give a way!) and we painted a pumpkin! We were at odds over trick or treating as we are not exactly excited about all the candy - but I was happy to discover that my little bug is NOT a candy fan - he likes cookies and chocolate, which is fine in moderation! The thing we enjoyed doing most was painting our pumpkin as a family! It was a great opportunity to revisit talking about colors, introducing color mixing (e.g. Yellow + Blue= Green), fine motor if you are using brushes (which Daniel is currently really into!) and sensorial play (exploring textures!)
